India Thrash South Africa in T20I Series Finale

ind vs sa 4th t20

India crushed South Africa in the final T20I in Johannesburg, winning by a massive 135 runs to claim the series. Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma were the stars of the show, scoring stunning centuries and setting several records along the way.

Samson and Tilak Shine

Samson and Tilak put on a batting masterclass. After losing an early wicket, they added 210 runs for the second wicket, the highest partnership for India in T20Is. Samson scored 113 with nine sixes, while Tilak smashed 110, hitting ten sixes. Their brilliant batting helped India post 284 for 2, their second-highest total in T20Is and the highest ever in South Africa.

South Africa Struggle

South Africa’s bowlers had a tough day, giving away too many runs and extras. Gerald Coetzee left the field with a hamstring issue but returned to bowl later, conceding 20 runs in one over. Andile Simelane’s first over cost 24 runs, adding to the team’s misery.

With the bat, South Africa never looked in the game. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya swung the ball beautifully, dismissing key batters early. South Africa were 1 for 2 in the second over and never recovered.

Late Fightback, But Not Enough

Tristan Stubbs and David Miller hit a few big shots, but it was too late. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi struck back quickly, taking key wickets. Marco Jansen hung around but couldn’t stop South Africa from being bowled out for 148.

Records Broken

India’s innings included 23 sixes, the most in a T20I between two Full Member teams. Samson and Tilak became the first Indian pair to score centuries in the same T20I innings, and India recorded four centuries in this series—another record.
