The IPL 2025 Auction witnessed some thrilling bidding wars, with several players fetching massive prices. Rishabh Pant emerged as the most expensive player, as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) secured him for a whopping ₹27.00 crore, making him the top pick of the auction. Following closely, Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for ₹26.75 crore, while Venkatesh Iyer became the third-highest acquisition when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) purchased him for ₹23.75 crore.
PBKS also strengthened their bowling attack by investing ₹18.00 crore each in Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal, showcasing their focus on assembling a formidable bowling unit. The Gujarat Titans (GT) spent big on Jos Buttler, acquiring him for ₹15.75 crore, while Delhi Capitals (DC) secured KL Rahul for ₹14.00 crore, reinforcing their batting lineup.
Several world-class bowlers commanded high prices as well. Trent Boult, Josh Hazlewood, and Jofra Archer were each sold for ₹12.50 crore, with Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Rajasthan Royals (RR), respectively, bagging them. The notable names include Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja, both secured for ₹18 crore each. Matheesha Pathirana was another expensive buy at ₹13 crore, while Shivam Dube cost ₹12 crore. Delhi Capitals spent ₹106.20 crore and have ₹13.80 crore left. With 13 players in their squad, they strengthened their lineup with all-rounder Axar Patel for ₹16.50 crore and batter KL Rahul for ₹14 crore. Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Starc add bowling depth, costing ₹13.25 crore and ₹11.75 crore. Tristan Stubbs and Harry Brook were bought for ₹10 crore and ₹6.25 crore, respectively.

Gujarat Titans used ₹102.50 crore, leaving ₹17.50 crore. They added 14 players, with Rashid Khan leading their lineup at ₹18 crore.
